The increase in the production of reclaimed asphalt pavement has led to a need for research on its reuse in road construction bases and subbases, aiming for environmental and economic benefits. This work analyzes the mechanical behavior of composites of clayey lateritic soil and reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) in different proportions of soil and RAP (100/0, 75/25, 50/50, and 25/75, in mass percentage), performed using Proctor compaction tests at modified energy, direct shear, and resilient modulus. The presence of RAP in the composites improved the mechanical behavior of the mixtures, evidenced by higher resilient modulus, cohesion, and friction angles. Furthermore, the tests demonstrated that samples with 50% of RAP provided a better balance between dynamic stiffness and shear strength, recommending their use in road base layers.
